Widgets, a lock for your diary, and Buy Me a Coffee
Folio has widgets now, five of them. On This Day pulls up a photo from exactly a year or more back. Latest Entry always shows whatever you wrote most recently. Random Memory shuffles through your whole diary. Month at a Glance counts up your entries, photos, and days journaled this month, and comes in Lock Screen sizes too. Quick Capture jumps straight into writing something new the moment you tap it. Tap any of them and it opens right to that entry.
Your diary can also lock behind Face ID or Touch ID now. Turn it on in Settings and it'll ask again if you've been away more than a couple minutes, and stays covered in the app switcher either way.
A couple smaller things: a Buy Me a Coffee link now lives in Settings, one more way to say thanks. And there's a new "Hide nav bar on scroll" setting, if you'd rather your diary feel a little more full-screen while you're reading.
By the way, in case you haven't noticed: tapping a month's header collapses it into a stacked pile of covers, so a long diary doesn't mean endless scrolling. Tap again to bring it back open.
Build 9 — July 2026
Share Link — turn any entry into a page anyone can open
The big one this time: Share Link. Tap the link icon on any entry and Folio creates a public page for it — your photo, your words, the recipe behind it if you choose to include it — with a link anyone can open, no app or account needed on their end. More than one photo becomes a small swipeable gallery, and tapping any photo opens it full-screen.
The launch animation got a full rework — quicker, and the diary is visible (softly blurred) behind it now instead of hidden, so it feels like arriving somewhere rather than waiting on something.
And if iCloud sync ever runs into real trouble, you'll actually see it — instead of a diary that just looks unexpectedly empty.

Photo Cards, and exports that finally do your photos justice
Photo Cards is here — a new way to browse your diary that's just the photos, edge to edge, no text getting in the way.
Exports got a real upgrade too. Every PDF and Year in Review now renders your photos at full resolution, completely uncropped, and landscape shots get their own full page instead of being squeezed to fit.
Plus refreshed navigation on both iPhone and iPad, and a handful of smaller fixes under the hood.
